This is my first color study. I used Faber-Castell Polychromos color pencils to add color to this study. I wanted to use similar colors to Joan Miro's Dutch Interior 1. I like the darker greens and richer reds. It gives it a sense of being rustic or historic. I like my color choices in this study. I believe they go well with the weighted importance of the largest holiday in Bangladesh. The red and green are very similar to the hues used within the Bangladeshi Flag. The study is balanced. Although, I don't like the blue water bucket. I needed to balance out the blue circle of the man's body and people often associate water with the color blue. I thought it would be creative in a metaphysical way to make the bucket blue. It just didn't work out. Also, I was worried about the goat's body being white. I love the viewers face (upper right corner) being white. Symbolizing whites viewing something as "foreign" with their tourist mask on. However, the goat's body being white was too much white. But what color to make that area?
